Looking at the "Investor Relations" section of Cineplex, the first quote is from the CEO of the company that reassures potential and current investors that the brand is adjusting to the pandemic in light of COVID-19 restrictions. A concern that is prevalent in those eyeing Cineplex's stocks, how will the brand confront issues of in-person exhibition. Furthermore, their trustworthiness in what they promise investors is boosted by the Investor Relations Magazine Awards they have received in the past. For any investors who want to anticipate the brand's current events, on the home page, the latest news that Cineplex is planning to implement in the future is readily available. The quarterly and annual reports are easy to find underneath the "REPORTS AND FILINGS" section that can be downloaded by any one looking for information. Although I wish that instead of the website redirecting investors to the SEDAR website for additional filings, so that it is more convenient for those who do not know exactly how to use this new website. In the same section, one can approximate their profits per share and when they receive them through "Dividend & Distribution Dates" tab that shows how the company historically pays shareholders and can encourage investments. However, when one goes to the "Tax Treatment" tab in the same section, they clarify that their records only go up to a certain year due to them not being an "income trust" anymore, but what does that mean for shareholders? The website provides locates for these legal documents; however, how many investors are willing to look through it? Overall, the basic information that most investors would look for is easy to find; however, Cineplex needs to work on making the more complex financial information easy to understand and access for anyone visiting their website.
